Last year I was lucky enough to win Seedbom’s Designbom competition which meant my print was chosen for the new Featherbom packaging! Well… they are now real and out in the wild!!

Last month I received my parcel of Featherboms - so exciting!!

I’m super proud of them and very grateful to Seedbom for the opportunity and can’t wait to spot them out and about in shops and garden centres.

After two successful markets over the last few weeks I am preparing for my final one of 2018 at The Thatched Barn Inn, Croyde on Sunday 16th December.

I’m looking forward to some festive music, mulled wine and Christmas jumpers all round!

I’ve enjoyed every market I’ve been a part of this year so I’ll be looking into some more for 2019 and will announce them here.

Yesterday was my first real market experience and it was a great day!

Devon Pop-Ups curated an incredible mix of 90 artists and makers from all over the South West and it was a busy day with a great atmosphere all round.

It was lovely to meet lots of new creative people and I had some lovely feedback on my products.

Onto the next one! My next event will be Sunday November 18th at the Pannier Market again for the North Devon Hospice Christmas Fair to coincide with the switching on of the Christmas lights.

Looking forward to it!

I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be at the Pannier Market Artisan Market on Sunday November 4th 2018. I’ll share more details about what products I’ll be taking soon.

Below are some words from the lovely organisers:

“Over 90 talented artists and makers from across the South West will be gathering for one day in Barnstaple Pannier Market to showcase their wares as Devon Pop Ups present an Artisan Market that is sure to successfully resolve the most challenging of shopping and gift dilemmas.

The Artisan Market on Sunday 4th November will feature an eclectic mix of exhibitors across a whole range of disciplines: from home-made sweets to doggie treats, from headdresses to statement jewellery, macramé, ceramics, wood, leather, fine art, prints, illustrations, embroidery, photography and food. The wonderful thing that they have in common, and the condition for entry to the market, is that their creations are all handmade by the artisans themselves.

The stunning Victorian Pannier Market in Barnstaple is the historic setting for this innovative event which will also include drop-in workshops hosted by Scrapstore using upcycled materials, a totally FREE creative gift-wrapping service for all purchases made on the day, a variety of delicious food stalls and live music throughout the day.

The eclectic mix of artists on show at the Artisan Market will include ADD YOUR DETAILS

There will be a £1.50 entrance fee (free entry for children under 16) for the Artisan Market at Barnstaple Pannier Market on Sunday 4th November 2018. The event starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.”

Last week I had the most exciting news!

I won the Seedbom Designbom competition to design the new packaging for their Featherbom.

It will be produced and for sale before the end of the year and I can’t wait!

I feel incredibly lucky to have been chosen and it feels like a match made in heaven - the lovely little ‘boms’ are biodegradable, plastic free and kind to our environment which is all important to me.

They are all filled with a different combination of seeds to give you a different floral surprise. The Featherbom has seeds which grow flowers to attract bees and butterflies to your garden, while providing grains for birds - kind to all our feathered friends! This inspired my print design and I made sure to include all these important little features.

I’ll keep my eye out and announce when they’re launched.

So I'll be using this journal space to update you on my products, events and anything exciting going on in my world.

The good news is my first event is lined up for 30th September so there's not long to wait!

Flow, a ladies surf collective, are raising money for pro surfer Hannah Harding's son Reggie who suffered a stroke at birth. They'll be hosting the event at Board Barn in Braunton and I'm happy to say I'll be in the company of some other amazing environmentally conscious, independent brands from the South West.

I was delighted to be asked to design the poster for the event - I love little projects like this!
